A bright, cold evening in February.
Plant three rows of peas:
Peas of mind, peas of heart. peas of soul.
Four rows of squash:
Squash gossip, squash indifference, squash grumbling, squash selfishness.
Four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful, lettuce be kind, lettuce be patient, lettuce really love each other.
No garden should be without turnips:
Turnip for service, turnip for gatherings, turnip to help one another, turnip the music and dance.
And finally, you must have thyme:
Thyme for work, thyme for rest, thyme for each other, and thyme for watching sunsets.
Saturday, May 15 is our first Annual Planting Party!
Denver Urban Gardens has featured our very own Pallas Quist in their March edition of Faces of DUG. Check it out!
Happy almost spring, everyone!
