Social Evening at the Garden, Friday May 27, 6-8pm

Join us for our monthly garden social potluck! You are welcome to bring something to share, a picnic for yourself, or just hang out with us in the garden! Please bring your own plates and silverware to help reduce waste.

Samuels teachers, parents and students, as well as community members, are all welcome!

The garden is located next to Samuels Elementary School at 3985 S Vincennes Ct, Denver, CO 80237. Please park in the parking lot in front of the school, and you will see the garden to the right (northwest) of the main school building.

Masks are now optional in the garden, but of course anyone is welcome to wear one if they feel more comfortable doing so.

Compost Every Wednesday!

Join us every Wednesday to learn about composting with one of our resident Master Composters. You are welcome to join us once or as often as you like!

You'll get hands on experience working a compost pile. We'll be chopping up the organic matter, adding greens and browns as needed, turning and watering the piles, and sifting out the finished compost. Bring your gloves and wear your garden shoes! Hats and sunscreen are also recommended. Don't forget water.

Snow! In May! Colorado is doing what Colorado does best: weird weather! The peonies were flattened but mostly we survived.

Planting Party!

 

So many people brought seedlings to share at the planting party! We had a planting demonstration, master gardeners on hand to answer questions and yummy snacks!

2nd Annual Planting Party - May 14, 2022

 

Join us on May 14th, 10am -4pm for our 2nd Annual Planting Party! We will have seedlings to share, and you are welcome to bring your extras.

We are also hosting part of DUG's Great Day of Planting! From 8:30-am-12:30pm two Master Gardeners will be on site to answer questions about gardening, as well as DUG staff to answer questions about Denver Urban Gardens.
